History of the Three Primary Divisions

Christianity was originally not divided into various divisions. it is regarded that the first turning-point was at the First Council of Nicaea Constantinople convened in 381.

At that time the interpretation of Christianity had been gradually different depending on the divisions, so the true teachings of Christ was reviewed at the Council of Nicaea.

Then the belief that was written since ancient times, the Nicene Creed was succeeded correctly by the subsequent Eastern Orthodox Church. A new interpretation was added and established by the subsequent Roman Catholic Church.

The Eastern Orthodox Church always maintains the Nicene Creed is still the basis of their teaching in the public place.

Meanwhile, the Roman-Catholic Church has grown powerful, focusing on Western Europe, however, the commercialism aspect gradually becomes disclosed, which produced new sects.

It is represented by a pardon (an indignation).

A German named Martin Luther felt the corruption of the church as God's punishment for sin could be purchased with money and made a reform movement to regain a clean and proper Christianity.

This religious reform movement established the new denomination called Protestant. The Bible was translated to German which had been published only in Latin since ancient times. The clergy became to be able to marry, and a new Christianity for the common people was established.
