Attributes of the three primary divisions

The three primary divisions of Christianity are Roman Catholicism, Protestantism, and Eastern Orthodoxy.

I often hear about Catholicism and Protestantism in Japan.
Eastern Orthodoxy in Japan is also known as Russian Orthodoxy or Japan Orthodoxy and churches are located throughout the country, which has many believers.

Christianity is the world's largest religion with Muslim greatly in the world, which suggests a religion which has most believers.
Whiile Christianity is by far the world’s largest religion, with the most adherents, Islam is second.

In Japan, there are the long histories of Shinto and Buddhism, so that the proportion of Christians is small.
This seems to be very rare in the world, and there seems to be no other country even in Asia where the ratio of Buddhists and Christians has such a large gap.

However, looking around Japan, while you can find a lot of temples and shrines, you cannot find so much churches. The habit of drawing sacred lots in the first temple visit of the year exceeds the concept of religion, but the shrine is for Shinto.

Thinking about such a culture rooted in Japan, it can be convinced that there are few Christians.

Returning to the world again, most Catholics are in Southern Europe, South America. Most Protestants are in Central Europe and Northern Europe, and Eastern Orthodoxy has believers mostly in Eastern Europe and some countries and regions of Africa.
